Career Opportunity :: Hub Community Manager

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) are seeking a highly motivated person to contribute to the Agtech and Logistics Hub, a high-profile Queensland Government initiative, driven and delivered through a consortium of industry and research partners. 

Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) is an independent, business driven organization focusing on the economic development and prosperity of our region. 

TSBE is committed to ensuring that our local business community will survive, adapt and prosper. Its through this we are investing in a new role to grow the regional Agtech ecosystem.

The Agtech and Logistics Hub (the Hub) is a three-year pilot project established and operated by a consortium led by Agrifood Connect, including USQ, UQ, TSBE and the FKG Group, under a contract with the Queensland Government. The Hub will be based in Toowoomba and will have statewide reach, facilitate collaborative partnerships across sectors, regions and supply chains, and contribute to economic growth and the creation of jobs through innovation and the adoption of technology.

As Community Manager, you will be based within TSBE, and responsible for facilitating meaningful connections, with a focus on growing the agtech ecosystem in Toowoomba and linking into Queensland’s regions. This includes facilitating collaborative partnerships between startups, SMEs and large corporates, researchers, training providers, manufacturers and investors.

The Community Manager will play a key role in growing and sharing networks and facilitating collaborative partnerships that work towards the commercialisation of ideas. Your extensive networks, experience and strong track record of pursuing business opportunities with the agtech and/or innovation space, will support TSBE’s, and the Hub’s influence and improve the productivity, capability and sustainability of the Darling Downs and, more broadly, Queensland’s agriculture industry through the adoption of innovation.

You proactively engage stakeholders, develop relationships and grow networks. You have expertise in the commercialisation of ideas and know what it takes to get a new product to market. You know how to truly collaborate, bring people on board, and contribute to a strong culture of innovation.

Reporting to TSBE Food Leader’s Australia General Manager, and engaging with the AgTech and Logistics Hub Manager, you will lead by example and exceed the expectations of the Hub’s users and stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of the Hub’s objectives.
