Report Released :: Connecting Australian Agriculture

Minister Paul Fletcher,  Fiona Simson from the National Farmers’ Federation and Gavin Williams from NBN Co recently launched the joint NBN and NFF Connecting Australian Agriculture paper.

The paper brings together industry experts, including our own Community Manager Stephen Dummett on Page 20, to explore the power of connectivity to enable a $15.6bn digital agriculture opportunity for Australian farmers.

At the AgTech and Logistics Hub, we believe solving the Connectivity Challenge is the first step towards harnessing the digital agricultural revolution. The next big opportunity for Australian agriculture is with a new generation of connected tools which enables things like remote sensing and automation. This helps farmers and graziers save time, grow productivity, and make more informed decisions.

We’d love to hear your thoughts.  We have a growing cluster of innovators at the AgTech and Logistics Hub who are centred around solving the connectivity challenge.  This month our meetup will be held at the QLD TAFE Rural Centre of Excellence in Toowoomba where our connectivity cluster will listen to your connectivity challenges and present possible solutions to these challenges. Industry (including farmers and graziers), Innovators and Investors are encouraged to attend the Meetup on the Tuesday the 30th of November from 5pm through to 7pm.  Click here to register for the event.
