GroundUp Program at the Agtech and Logistics Hub

The Agtech and Logistics Hub GroundUp Program is for founders of market-ready agtech committed to working with the agrbusiness industry to take their technology to the next level. 

GroundUp cultivates innovation in agriculture to solve industry problems by focusing on startups, innovators and SMEs that have ideas with great potential to achieve product market fit. 

Through GroundUp, the Agtech and Logistics Hub facilitates field demonstrations plus access to mentors, VC funds, global networks and coworking spaces.   

Designed to fast-track the development of world-class innovation by partnering with industry, GroundUp is a three-month program based in Queensland.

GroundUp Program summary

The GroundUp Program is for companies seeking support and guidance in go-to-market, commercialisation and investment that have a strong commitment to working with industry as customers and partners.

Under expert guidance from an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and more than 20 mentors, we help companies validate and deploy their solutions over the course of the 12-week program.

The Agtech and Logistic Hub’s world-class mentor network includes our partners FKG Group, UQ, USQ and the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland.

Who are we looking for?

The GroundUp Program works with scalable businesses to solve problems and drive innovation in agriculture.

Companies are encouraged to apply when they have a market-ready product, evidence of industry demand and an identified market.

To be selected for GroundUp, companies must:

01.

Be an incorporated entity or soon to be established at the time of project commencement

02.

Be a company in growth or scale-up phase of maturity and/or with a significant and immediate market opportunity identified. Companies ideally have an existing product in market, but we welcome applications from MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage and for R&D development have reached TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 6 or more

03.

Have participation and commitment from the founding or executive team

04.

Have clearly identified opportunities that are relevant to Queensland, Australia and with global potential
