An innovative partnership to create a digital twin of every farm in Tasmania is just one of the opportunities to come Agronomeye’s way since it connected with the Agtech and Logistics Hub.

The agtech company, which has developed agriculture’s first digital twin, was part of the Hub’s inaugural accelerator program in 2021, cultivating significant collaborations which have developed as they’ve taken their revolutionary farm mapping and modelling technology to the next level.

The accelerator helped propel the company into a rapid phase of growth, with an increasing number of farmers using their tech and significant partnerships struck with the likes of CSIRO, Landcare and Microsoft.

Most recently, Agronomeye has entered a partnership with Virtual Tas, who are digitally mapping the whole of Tasmania, allowing them to offer the digital twin of every farm in the region.

Agronomeye’s platform, called AgTwinTM, uses high-resolution 3D maps of farming properties and advanced modelling techniques to enable farmers to better understand their property, empowering them to make the right management decisions at the right time. These quality insights allow farmers to unlock the full potential of their land.

After graduating from the Agtech and Logistics Hub’s inaugural accelerator in 2021, Agronomeye went on to join the Hub’s 2023 open innovation initiative, OpenGround, to connect with key stakeholders, including landholders, by demonstrating how their tech has the potential to transform plant health.

Founders Tim Howell and Stu Adam said the Hub had been a “continuous supporter” in their growth.

“Whenever we have put our hand up to say, ‘can you help us?’, they’ve been there to help and really supportive,” Mr Adam said.

“I’d absolutely recommend the Agtech and Logistics Hub to other innovators.

“I think it’s a really great place to either cut your teeth or to scale through this organisation as well.”
